Hand-Raising Encounters

Hand-Raising Encounters

I will bless You as long as I live; in Your Name I will lift up my hands. Psalm 63:4

Raising hands in worship would be silly without the manifest presence of Christ; because of the manifest presence of Christ, however, it would be silly not to raise our hands in honor and appreciation.

For a non-worshipper, hand-raising in corporate worship seems self-exalting and self-fulfilling. In reality, raising hands in worship is self-humbling and Christ-exalting.

God obviously does not call us to raise hands in worship in order to draw attention to ourselves. In fact, beware of being a hand-raiser in corporate worship if you are not a hand-raiser in private worship. If the thought of raising your hands in corporate worship is somewhat intimidating to you, begin this biblical practice by lifting your hands to the Lord in private worship. The more conscious you become of the manifest presence of Christ in worship, the more freely you will extend your hands to Him.

Father God, I do humble myself and become obedient to the biblical expression of praise to lift my hands in worship to Your manifest presence today.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world country and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Liechtenstein and Oklahoma.

This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
