Kneeling Praise
Bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me bless His holy name. Psalm 103:1
When was the last time your encounter with Christ was so overwhelming that it moved you to literally get on your knees in His presence? This is the kind of kneeling praise that King David is calling for today.
The imperative exhortation “Bless the Lord” is the Hebrew word BARAK, which literally means “fall on your knees in gratitude before God.” It comes from the root word BEREK, which in Hebrew means “knee.”
Whether you kneel outwardly on the floor or inwardly in your heart, as you count your blessings and name them one by one, it is appropriate to come before the Lord Your God and give Him the kneeling praise today which He deserves.
Father God, I kneel before You and declare the greatness of Your glory and grace.
