Devoted to Prayer Part 3

Devoted to Prayer Part 3

Continue steadfast in prayer, being watchful and thankful. Colossians 4:2 NIV ’84

When you seek God’s manifest presence from your spirit, you are devoted to prayer. The two disciplines that will help you are (1) being watchful and (2) being thankful. God wants to teach you today to be both watchful for His Presence and thankful for His Presence.

Every upper room disciple is watchful. In a sense, they pray with their eyes open; that is, they pray with expectancy and anticipation. They are eager to see what God will do and how He will show up and show off.

Every upper room disciple is also thankful—thankful for God’s manifest presence and thankful for every way God chooses to sovereignly manifest His presence.

Both watchfulness and thankfulness fuel  your devotion to prayer. Ask Christ to activate these two disciplines in your life today.

Father God, stir up in me today a heart that is watchful and thankful, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Monaco and Illinois.
