“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness.” Matthew 6:33
As the kingdom of God comes on your life, it will demand a higher standard of personal righteousness, moral integrity, and sexual purity.
Don’t think for a moment that the kingdom of God is all fun-and-games, bells-and-whistles, visions and dreams, and sensational manifestations. The greatest evidence of the coming of God’s kingdom into your life is demonstrated by a radical shift in your lifestyle.
This is not a threat; this is a promise.
As the kingdom of God advances in your life, the amount of functional righteousness will rise.
God also wants you to expect his transforming kingdom to turn your moral life upside down. The indwelling kingdom of Christ is ever-advancing in you by the power of his Holy Spirit, and he will change your thought life, desires, habits, and even the way you spend your spare time.
Loving Father, I receive your radical kingdom and your transforming righteousness into my life today by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name.
