Life Blood

Life Blood
“The life of the flesh is in the blood.” Leviticus 17:11

Every medical student experiences firsthand the exhilarating miracle that life is in the blood. A patient is wheeled into the ER— their lips are blue and their skin is milk white. A unit of blood is attached to the pole next to their body, the needle is inserted in a vein in their arm, and suddenly, right before their eyes, the skin comes alive, the lips turn pink, eyes open, life is returned. A miracle is unleased.

Jesus needed a physical body because no body, no blood; no blood, no life; no life, no sacrifice; no sacrifice, no atonement; no atonement, no redemption.

You have redemption today because the life of Christ is in the blood and his blood made atonement for you.

Father God, I fall to my knees, lift my hands, and declare your glory for the blood of Jesus that was shed for me. Hallelujah there is life in the blood.
