He May Be Found

He May Be Found

“Seek the Lord while he may be found; call upon him while he is near.” Isaiah 55:6

In the kingdom the seekers are the receivers.

When Christ invites you to seek him, he is not primarily giving you permission to seek him for stuff— he is inviting you to seek him for him.

Isaiah 55:6 contains two precious promises: he may be found and he is near. Neither promise is referring to his omnipresence. Both promises are referring to his manifest presence. While His omnipresence is everywhere, only His manifest presence can be found.

The entire basis of the command given to you— seek the Lord— is the promise given to you, he may be found. Claiming this promise will fuel your faith and fuel your obedience.

Because God promises you that you can find him, he calls you now to seek him.

Loving Father, I seek you now with all my heart because you promised me that you are near and that you will be found. Manifest your presence to me now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
