Many Troubles, Many Victories

Many Troubles, Many Victories

Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all. Psalm 34:19

We play too many mind games when we pray.

Have you ever looked at the problems going on in your life and said to yourself, “Where did I go wrong? God must have withdrawn His presence from my life because if He were here things would certainly be going better.” Oh, really?

King David discovered a significant principle—it’s not the presence of problems that should convince us whether or not we are right with God, but the presence of God Himself. Psalm 34:19 sets the record straight—bad things happen to good people. Don’t allow the accuser to steal your security in Christ. The same God who allowed the problems in your life is bigger than the problems in your life. He will deliver you. You can count on it.

Father God, thank You that even before You deliver me from my problems, I can welcome Your presence into my problems. Today, I give You the glory for Your manifest presence at work in my life.
