Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!

When they began to sing and praise the Lord, the Lord set an ambush. 2 Chronicles 20:22

Don’t ever underestimate the power of praise. Worshiping God may seem weak, harmless, and ineffective, but nothing can be further from the truth. There are times in life when the battle gets difficult and circumstances seem impossible, when the most practical, powerful, and effective thing you can do is praise the Lord.

Against all odds, when Israel was surrounded by terrifying armies, God gave them counter intuitive advice—start singing and praising the Lord. Praise takes the focus off the problem and puts the focus on the One who can solve the problem. Praise will often release the power of God into the moment.

You can often praise your way through things you could never pray your way through.

Yes, Father, today I choose to declare Your praise. I fill my lungs with praise and shout Your Name in praise. Praise the Lord!
