See His Face

See His Face

Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Matthew 5:8

While the essence of sin is turning away from the manifest presence of Christ, the essence of choosing obedience is stepping into God’s manifest presence.

Seeing God is what we were made for. Beholding the glory of God’s manifest presence is the most satisfying, fulfilling, exhilarating sight we will ever see.

If you want to see God’s manifest presence, you want to keep your heart clean. Like wiping the smudges off your eyeglasses, take time right now to confess your sins—great or small—and enjoy a clearer view of your God.

Loving Father, I want to see You more clearly. For this reason, I want You to bring to the surface any sins and smudges on my soul that are blurring my eyesight, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
