Cultivate the Presence

Cultivate the Presence

Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.
Genesis 5:24

The closer we walk with Christ and His manifest presence, the more the veil between heaven and earth thins out—the more of heaven we get on earth, and the more this earth is filled with His manifest presence.

Few people have ever walked with God the way Enoch did. Obviously, he was not walking in the omnipresence of God; he was walking in the manifest presence of God. In fact, he walked so closely, so intimately, so affectionately that one day God said something like this—“Enoch, My son, we’ve been walking together for many years, and today you are a little closer to My home than yours. So why don’t you just come home with Me and spend the rest of eternity in My house?”

If Enoch could enjoy this level of intimacy in the manifest presence of Christ thousands of years before Christ was even born, how much more do we today have access to God’s manifest presence!

Walking with God is not intended to be some sporadic phenomenon; it is intended to be an ongoing reality. God wants you to enjoy walking, like Enoch, in His manifest presence today and every day.

Father God, I praise You that by the power of the Holy Spirit, I like Enoch, get to walk with You every day. Manifest Your presence to me; I value Your presence more than anything else in life.
