No One Seeks
No One Seeks
No one seeks for God. Romans 3:11
No one seeks for God. This is a foundational reality that is essential to fully realize—our internal ability to desire God and to seek after God is broken beyond repair. Only God can fix it. Our only hope is a sovereign, prevenient work of grace that God Himself will reach inside our chest cavity and stir in us a desire to seek after God. If the Lord Jesus has already done this miraculous work in you, praise Him. If He has not done it in your spouse or loved one, seek Him for it.
This reality explains why no one can take pride in their desire to pray and seek after God. The very desire within you to seek God’s manifest presence is itself a work of God.
Loving Father, I praise You today. You have stirred my desire to seek you and you have restored my orientation and disposition toward seeking Your face and Your manifest presence. This is a work of Your kingdom. Advance in me. Continue this work of grace and extend Your kingdom work to those around me..
