An Hour of Prayer

An Hour of Prayer

Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray. Matthew 26:40-41

Christ invites you  to frequently spend an hour with Him in prayer just as He invited His disciples. Why? Very simply, because He loves you and He wants to spend time with you.

The reason the twelve disciples slept rather than pray was because they had not yet received the Holy Spirit. Once they received the promise of the Holy Spirit, they were not only able to pray an hour, they were able to pray ten days!

No longer look at an hour of prayer as an impossibility; Christ in you longs to frequently pray for an hour. Obey Christ in you -- He will teach you to pray for an hour.

Holy Spirit, I receive Your one hour anointing of prayer. Empower me to linger in Your presence and receive from You all you have for me.
