Follow Me and I will make you become fishers of men. Mark 1:17
Simon and Andrew enjoyed their careers as fishermen in the family business. They were ready to walk in their father’s footsteps until they chose the footsteps of Jesus. The two words Follow Me changed everything. They went from cleaning fish to changing lives.
These two common fishermen received their God-given calling out of an encounter with Christ. Similarly, God wants to validate your calling so that you walk in your calling today as you also encounter His manifest presence.
Father God, today I take hold of Your high calling for me. I hear You saying to me even as You said to the disciples, ‘Follow Me’. I am coming, Lord, into Your calling.
