Heart Eyes
Heart Eyes
Having the eyes of your hearts enlightened. Ephesians 1:18
You may only have one heart, but that one heart has who-knows-how-many eyes!
The Apostle Paul prayed, for “the eyes of your hearts.” This indicates that there are many eyes inside our hearts.
Insects have what are called compound eyes, made up of a system of many repeating forms of separate visual receptors. A dragonfly, for example, has 25,000 separate eyes within its set of two larger eyes. Think about it—if a simple insect like a dragonfly has tens of thousands of eyes, just think how many more the human spirit has!
It is no wonder Paul made it his prayer, having the eyes of your hearts enlightened. We want to join with him in asking Christ to open the eyes of our hearts.
Father God, today, open the eyes of my heart to the fullness of Your manifest presence in Jesus’ Name.
