Taste and see the Lord is good. Psalm 34:8
God made taste buds so that we can enjoy eating. Though some of us may overindulge, it is safe to say that healthy people are hungry people. The same is true spiritually.
When you encounter the manifest presence of Christ, God has made it possible for you to taste and see. Just like every other spiritual receptor, God wants to activate your spiritual taste buds so that you can feed on His presence. There are too many anorexic Christians who are not experiencing the joy of feeding on God’s presence. Jesus can heal you today and restore your spiritual appetite.
Holy Spirit, sound the dinner bell. Activate my hunger deep in my soul for Your presence. Today, awaken my taste buds for Your presence.
