Boldly Receive

Boldly Receive

Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need. Hebrews 4:16

When you first encounter the manifest presence of Christ, it can be overwhelming. It can even make you feel awkward—almost out of place. For this reason, the writer of the book of Hebrews exhorts you to come boldly into His manifest presence, or to come with confidence. You don’t need to feel awkward. Whatever you do—don’t fake it or try to be someone you’re not.

You can come boldly into the manifest presence of Christ and be yourself—in fact, in His presence you are truly more yourself than at any other time. And when you come, don’t forget to receive! Boldly come. Boldly receive. Coming is a privilege. Receiving is overwhelming.

Father God, I do come just as I am before Your holy presence today to receive grace and mercy to help in my time of need.
