Replace the Orphan Spirit

Replace the Orphan Spirit

I will not leave you as orphans.  John 14:18

Christ tells us we are not orphans, but the orphan spirit tries to convince us otherwise. It is all too easy to believe the lie.

If you are going to evict the orphan spirit, you first need to understand it and expose it. An orphan is not a full-fledged member of the family. Orphans fear rejection. Orphans fight for everything they get. An orphan lives in fear of rejection, fear of loss, fear of hurt, and fear of abandonment. An orphan continually questions their self worth.

Christ is the one who conquers the orphan spirit. When He said, “I will not leave you as orphans,” He was challenging one of the greatest enemies we face—the orphan spirit. Christ not only exposes it, He replaces it with adoption.

Christ said, “I will not leave you as orphans, but will come to you. He adopts you into His family with all rights and privileges.

Father God, reveal to me any inroad in my life that the orphan spirit has gained. Bring it to light, for Jesus Christ’s sake.
