New Faith

New Faith

"So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the Word of Christ."  Romans 10:17

There is nothing more robust than new faith, and there is nothing more faith-building than the promises of God.

As you read the Bible today and as you listen for the voice of the faith-building Holy Spirit, be prepared to gain new faith. Much like a newly planted seed in the compost heap, the Word of God is looking for even the smallest element of faith inside your chest cavity in which to germinate.

For too long we have viewed Bible reading as something to merely check off our list of other daily duties like combing our hair or flossing our teeth. No way! As you listen today for the voice of the Holy Spirit, be prepared for new faith to rise up. A fresh Word from God will grow new faith. New faith brings new obedience. New obedience always leads to a fresh encounter with Christ. And that, my friends, is the definition of revival.

Father God, open my ears today to the voice of Your Holy Spirit. Bring to me new faith, new obedience, and a fresh encounter with Your manifest presence. Amen.
