Nation Asking

Nation Asking

"Ask..., and I will give You the nations."  Psalm 2:8 NKJV

God wants to build your faith muscle. He not only wants you to want what He wants, He wants you to go after it with all your heart. There is nothing more relevant to muscle-building faith than asking for the nations. Asking for the nations is part of the maturing process of prayer.

The Christian life is a form of spiritual Bootcamp in which Christ orchestrates circumstances around us so that God’s purposes are always within arm’s reach.

Psalm 2 is a messianic psalm. Initially, God the Father exhorted the Son to ask Him for the nations. Now, we come and ask the Father in Jesus’ Name for the nations. We want Christ’s glory among the nations. We want every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that Jesus Christ is Lord.

Just as we often pray, Lord, teach us to pray, begin asking more specifically, Lord, teach us to pray for the nations. He will answer this prayer.

The size of your prayer life is revealed by the size of your answers to prayer. So, what are you asking God for? Begin to ask for the nations.

Father God, teach me to ask for the nations, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
