Manifestation Gifts
"God is really among you." 1 Corinthians 14:25
Imagine first time guests walking into your church on Sunday and saying with wide-eyed wonder, “God is really among you!” That is what happens when the manifestation gifts are properly used.
There are nine manifestation gifts—messages of wisdom, messages of knowledge, healings, distinguishing of spirits, miracles, tongues, interpretation of tongues, faith, and prophecy. When these manifestation gifts operate appropriately as God designed and as the apostle Paul described, even unbelievers will begin to unmistakably recognize God’s manifest presence.
If you are going to invite the manifest presence of Christ to fill your church, get ready to welcome the manifestation gifts. You don’t need to fear the manifestation gifts; God knows how to give these gifts effectively so that they will not draw as much attention to themselves as they draw attention to Christ.
If you love God’s manifest presence, you will welcome the gifts.
Lord Jesus, today I open the door to Your manifest presence and to Your manifestation gifts. May it be known that God is really among us.
