The Bible may be 2,000 years old, but it has not lost its razor sharp edge. The Bible is more relevant than headline news and more personal than a text message from your best friend.
The Bible has the unique ability to separate your soul from your spirit and change you from the inside out. Too many Christians operate soulishly, that is, from the mind, will, and emotions. God goes deeper than the soul; He penetrates to our spirit. The Bible is uniquely designed to cut like a surgeon’s scalpel and expose our deepest thoughts, motivations, ambitions, and aspirations, so that He can change us from the inside out.
Today, as you read your Bible, allow God’s Word to surgically cut to the core of your being and change you from the inside out.
Father God, I welcome Your living, active Word to expose not only my soul, but also my spirit, in Jesus’ Name.
