Hallowed be Your Name… Matthew 6:9

As you follow the Lord’s prayer pattern today, use His Name to boldly declare the supremacy of Christ. Clear the atmosphere of static and interference. In the final months of Bill Bright’s life, Henry Blackabee asked Dr. Bright in an interview, what burden he had for the church. Bill Bright had founded Campus Crusade for Christ, the largest missions organization in the world, and without hesitation, he said with confidence, “The Name—the church needs to rediscover the power of God’s Name.”

When Jesus constructed the most apostolic and foundational prayer ever written, He strategically placed the words “Hallowed be Your Name” toward the front. Everything else in the prayer is linked to the Name.
- He sends the kingdom because He’s the King.
- He gives daily bread because He’s the Provider.
- He forgives sins because He’s the Savior.
- He empowers us to forgive others because He’s the Redeemer.
- He leads us and delivers us because He’s our Conqueror.
- He receives the kingdom, power, and glory because He is Worthy.

The higher you elevate Christ’s Name, the deeper your encounter with Christ.

Father God, I declare today the supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ and the glory of Your Name.
