Praise Promise
“I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1
God gives you permission to praise him at all times. Praise is a universal promise that you can claim anywhere, at any time, in every situation.
There is never a moment or circumstance that makes praise off limits.
When King David wrote Psalm 34, he was facing one of the worst circumstances of his life— in his homeland he was running from King Saul and fled to a neighboring country, but there he was hunted by the foreign king, where he took refuge in a cave, and enemy soldiers found him and his life was threatened.
At this moment he erupted with praise and made the declaration, I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
No matter what you are facing today, if you are in your right mind, you have permission to praise the Lord.
Christ is still on the throne.
You are loved and protected by God.
Your God is greater than your circumstances.
For this reason, praise is a promise.
Loving Father, I make this declaration in Jesus’ name-- I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
