Reviving is Eating

Reviving is Eating

“I will come in to him and eat with him and he with me.”
Revelation 3:20

At the heart of revival is encountering the manifest presence of Christ, and every encounter involves a form of eating, or partaking, of His presence.

When Jesus promised that the lukewarm, in-desperate-need-of-revival church in Laodicea, He gave them one of the greatest revival promises ever given: "Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to eat with him and he with me." Revelation 3:20

Jesus promised that he would not only Come in to him, but also to eat with him, and him with me, This cuts to the heart of true revival. Revival is not simply reading about God, thinking about God, nor studying God. Revival is eating God, that is, partaking of the manifest presence of God.

When Jesus said, and eat with him and he with me, He was not talking about snacking on a protein bar or trail mix, He was referring to eating the main meal of the day-- eating a feast! Jesus invites you to feast on his manifest presence.

If you have been snacking on Jesus, it's time to repent. It's time to partake of a full meal of God's manifest presence.

Eating from the manifest presence of Christ is the most fulfilling meal you will ever eat.

Loving Father, I not only open the door to your manifesting presence, but I welcome you in to eat with me, and for me to eat with you in Jesus name.
