Promised Truth

Promised Truth

“I am…the truth.”
John 14:6

We live in a world of ambiguity— a culture that accepts expedient lies, situational ethics, blatant deception, when the ends seem to justify the means.

Into such a world of ambiguity black-and-white Jesus stands up and boldly proclaims I am the truth.

In the kingdom of God falsehood is always evil, ethics are never situational, and lies are never okay.

When Jesus said, I am the truth, he places himself in a category all of him own.
Jesus tells you the truth about God.
Jesus tells you the truth about himself.
Jesus tells you the truth about yourself, and the world around you.

I am the truth is a promise for you today.

Loving Father, I take Jesus as the one truth-teller.
