Rival Kingdom

Rival Kingdom

“Herod is about to search for the child to destroy him.” Matthew 2:13

Wherever the kingdom of Christ advances, it enters a rival kingdom that will feel threatened.

When the wise men came to Palestine in search for the Christ-child, King Herod immediately felt threatened, and deceptively requested an audience with them to learn the age of the child so as to kill him.

It is important for you to recognize that we all have a little Herod in each of us that feels threatened at the advancement of Christ’s kingdom. This spirit of Herod needs to bow to Jesus; it needs to die.

Everything in you that resists the kingdom of Christ needs to die. The kingdom of Christ is never threatened; but every rival kingdom is threatened.

Every kingdom leader needs to declare war on every rival, internal kingdom.

Loving Father, I wholeheartedly welcome Christ, the King of his kingdom. Slay in me every rival kingdom in Jesus’ name.
