Slow Rising Kingdom

Slow Rising Kingdom

“The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.”
Matthew 13:33

The kingdom of God certainly advances forcefully, but at times it advances invisibility, or at least imperceptibly.

Leaven has an invisible, and at times imperceptible, effect on flour. It takes time for the yeast to permeate the dough. In time, however, the effect is seen by all.

There are times when, despite your best efforts, the kingdom of God may seem to have little effect on your life and your relationships. But wait for it…wait for it…wait for it. The kingdom of God is working even when you don’t see it. Wait for it.

And that is a promise.

Loving Father, I praise you for the promise of the advancing of your kingdom even when I don’t see it in Jesus’ name.
