Kingdom Lifestyle

Kingdom Lifestyle

“For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 5:20

When the kingdom of Christ gains traction in your life, your desires, motivations, orientation, disposition, and lifestyle will radically change.

A common flaw in people’s understanding of the kingdom is that the kingdom of God only affects our minds. Some people think that if we have the correct doctrine, our lives will change. This a tragic misconception. It’s not that simple.

The scribes and Pharisees were the Bible scholars of Jesus’ day, and yet they had absolutely no understanding of the kingdom of Christ, because they could not put into practice their own Bible knowledge. If Bible knowledge was enough to bring the kingdom, Jesus would not have needed to come, nor would he have needed to send the Holy Spirit.

In reality, only Christ can change a life and a lifestyle, and only the Holy Spirit can change your desires, motivations, orientation, disposition, and lifestyle.

God wants to inject your life with supernatural, personal righteousness. The greatest evidence of the coming of Christ’s kingdom is a change in your lifestyle.

Loving Father, I repent of settling for doctrinal purity and moral impurity. Today I receive an infusion of your supernatural, personal righteousness by the power of the Holy Spirit in Jesus’ name.
