No Excuses

No Excuses

“By faith he went to live in the land of promise.”
 Hebrews 11:9

Don’t ever use a promise from God as an excuse of passivity. Taking hold of God’s promise can at times be energy-intensive. Demanding. Challenging. Testing.

When God gave Abraham the promise of blessing, he required Abraham to take action. It was necessary for Abraham to uproot his family and move to a foreign land in order to live in the land of promise.

Are you living in the land of promise? Have you heard God, believed God, uprooted yourself, and moved forward?

Hear it again: don’t ever allow a promise from God to lead you to a place of passivity. Just because God promises you something, does not mean it will cost you nothing.

Loving Father, I humble myself. I repent. I receive this loving rebuke and I repent of passivity. Lead me boldly into the land of promise you have marked out for me.
