Guarded

Guarded

“How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word.” Psalm 119:9

If you want to keep your way pure, God promises you a fool-proof method. How? By guarding it according to your word.

Notice how the author of Psalm 119:9 responds to this question with a confident answer in prayer. He does not say “the” word, but your word.

God wants you to turn the Bible into your prayer book. He wants you to take every promise and turn it into a declarative prayer. You can start with Psalm 119:9.

What temptation will you face today? Be prepared to guard yourself by claiming this promise.

Loving Father, I want to keep my way pure, and today I take this promise to guard me in your paths of righteousness for your name’s sake.
