Power Promise
Power Promise
“And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. But stay in the city until you are clothed with power from on high.” Luke 24:49
New clothes are nice, but power clothes are better. God wants to clothe you with power so that you can fulfill your calling with excellence.
This power promise is another trinitarian promise.
God the Son communicates the promise.
God the Father fulfills the promise.
God the Spirit is the promise.
Not every promise in the Bible is labelled a promise, but this one certainly is.
This promise begins with the activating word, behold. God wants you to hear Him declaring over you right now—behold. He wants to wake up your faith, your expectancy, your prayer.
As you begin this new year, 2022, now is the perfect time to put on your power clothes.
Father God, I take this promise of power to the bank. Jesus promised that you would clothe me with power, and right now I receive your Holy Spirit power to fulfill my calling in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
