Life-Giving Presence

Life-Giving Presence

The desire God has for us to pray shows us his desire for us to experience revival. Prayer is our lifeline, our connection, and our communication with our Creator, the giver and sustainer of life. Only the One who gives life can bring back to life a dead or dying soul. And the miracle is, God doesn’t just give life once, He gives it over and over to those who seek His life-giving presence.

"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." Psalm 16:11

"He restores my soul. He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake." Psalm 23:3

As we are at the end of our fast, let’s not move on too quickly and minimize the truth that everyday we need the reviving presence of God—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We need revival now and each day. As your life has been revived, others need your testimony. If you study revival history, you will soon discover that the testimony of ordinary people who had encountered an extraordinary God helped spread the revival. There are people around you who need to know what God has done in your life over these last 21 days. Welcome them to gather around the fire. Form a prayer group and continue to encounter God’s reviving presence together. If you haven’t already, begin to journal about what God has done in your life. Throw fresh logs onto the fire through prayer, worship, reading the Bible, and fellowship with spiritually hungry believers.

Father, thank you for your life-giving, reviving presence. Let this fast be the foundation of your work in my life this year. Bring around me other hungry hearts, and pour out revival among us for Jesus sake!
