Day 6: Kingdom Reign

Day 6: Kingdom Reign
Rebecca Holcomb

“And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood, and hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.”
Revelation 1:5-6

When we pray, “your kingdom come, your will be done,” we are inviting the kingdom of God to invade earth. We are announcing the authority of Jesus Christ and using the keys he has given us to bring the culture and will of the King to earth. God first gave Adam and Eve a kingdom and dominion.

From the time of the fall of man, humanity has been longing for a kingdom. Religion exists because kingdom doesn’t.  Religion wants to bring earth to heaven; Kingdom wants to bring heaven to earth. Religion prepares you to leave earth, but Kingdom empowers you to reign in life on earth (Romans 5:17).

To be kingdom ready, we must understand that we have been made into a kingdom of priests and kings where those who believe in Jesus are honored, have authority, and are subject to the King of Kings. Isaiah says that there will be no end to the increase of His government. Jesus is King of an ever-expanding kingdom.

When we believe we have the Spirit of Almighty God living within us, we can bring kingdom authority, power, healing, salvation, and hope wherever we go. We carry the King’s presence to accomplish the King’s will.
