Day 3: Kingdom Worthy

Day 3: Kingdom Worthy
Fred Hartley, III

"We exhorted each one of you and encouraged you and charged you to walk in a manner worthy of God, who calls you into his own kingdom and glory."
1 Thessalonians 2:12

Do yourself a favor—make it your goal in life to be kingdom worthy.

The heart of the Gospel calls you and me to live a life worthy of the kingdom of Christ.

There is no more delightful place for you to live than in the kingdom of Christ. Nevertheless, it is important for every kingdom ready person to recognize that ultimately the kingdom of Christ does not exist for your benefit, but for his. The kingdom of Christ is not beneath you; it is above us. The kingdom does not answer to you; you answered to the kingdom. You and I are called to be kingdom worthy.

The call to be kingdom worthy is a high calling. There is no low calling in the kingdom.
  • Kingdom worthy is KINGDOM THINKING. The better you can recognize the kingdom and think the kingdom, the more kingdom worthy you are.
  • Kingdom worthy is KINGDOM SEEKING. God does not want you to take for granted the kingdom; he wants you to seek it, and to seek it first.
  • Kingdom worthy is KINGDOM PRAYING. Every kingdom worthy person is a Kingdom praying person. God wants you to love the kingdom enough to ask him for it.
  • Kingdom worthy is KINGDOM WELCOMING. Never forget the fact that you cannot create the kingdom; you only welcome it. Kingdom is what Christ does.

Own your calling to be kingdom worthy.

Thanks for the this word on this 3rd day. Kingdom Worthy is Kingdom Appreciating. We have to always appreciate God for making us a part of the kingdom. We can do this in Thanksgiving, worship, service, evangelism and living in love with others.
