2022 Breakthrough Fast: Day 21

We Made It!

We made it...21 days of fasting for, praying for, waiting for and receiving breakthrough! Fasting, in some ways, is like a marathon. You push forward in the first few days as your body begins to detox. Slowly, those old cravings for sweets, coffee, meat and other finer foods and drink begin to dissipate. Your focus becomes clearer and your eyes and body begin to feast on the Father. Breakthrough begins to occur both physically and spiritually. As the end of a fast nears, we pick up pace as God begins to unfold His vision before us. We're thinking clearer, hearing better and receiving more revelation.

I hope you'll take today and the coming weeks to reflect on the Scriptures that God has given you and the words the Holy Spirit has spoken to you over the last 21 days. If there are specific assignments you have been given, follow-through. If there are prominent promises God has provided to you, walk in them. Don't stop now...and especially don't stop praying the promises of God for every step you take in 2022!

Remember, when you break a fast, start slow. As much as you are tempted to go straight for a big juicy burger, I would advise sticking to fruits, vegetables and grains for a few days. Those who have given up caffeine have probably noticed much clearer thinking (once the headaches subsided). You might consider limiting your caffeine intake to maintain that clearness.

It has been an honor to join with you and thousands of others around the world over the last 21 days. I hope you'll email us at contact@collegeofprayer.org and share your testimony of how Father has met you during this time.

Grace and peace,
Jon Mitchell
