2022 Breakthrough Fast: Day 18

Promises of Deliverance

During an extended fast we are often attacked by our adversary, satan, and his demons. They are trying to contest the spiritual and physical ground that is rapidly being taken back in our lives through fasting. Some of the temptations and struggles we face during a fast are often more evident than normal, and I believe it is because the Holy Spirit is trying to show us clearly where we need breakthrough. Part of receiving the breakthrough is praying promises of deliverance. Memorizing key verses on God’s promise of deliverance and protection are key to defeating satan, and maintaining freedom. Here are some promises I encourage you to read through and declare out loud:

Promise of Deliverance:
“Submit therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” (James 4:7)
Declaration: “I have submitted myself to God, so devil, I command you to leave me alone and go away from me now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. For it is written, ‘Resist the devil and he will flee from you.’ So devil you must go.”

Promise of Deliverance:
“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; And every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, And their vindication is from Me,” declares the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17)
Declaration: “Father You say that as Your servant, no weapon that is formed against me will prosper. Satan has been trying to use the weapon of _____ against me, and I declare right now that that weapon will not prosper. Dismantle that weapon now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.”

Promise of Safety: “But You, O LORD, are a shield about me, My glory, and the One who lifts my head. (Psalm 3:3)
Declaration: “Father, Your word says you are a shield around me. I declare that over me and my household. Protect us from anyone or anything that would cause us harm in anyway.”

Take time to pray these promises today!
