Identity Promise

Identity Promise

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

When God tells you about his identity, you can bank on it because it is a promise.

When God tells you about your identity, you can also bank on it because it is a promise.

The moment you trust in Christ, something incredible happens, not only in your relationship with God, but with your own personal identity— you become a new person. Literally.

Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

You may not feel different, you probably don’t look different, but you are different. When you receive Christ, you are a new creation.

The moment you are born again, a new person is born inside of you. Old things pass away— like self-hatred, condemnation, inferiority, arrogance, twisted pride, and twisted lust.

And new things begin— things like holy desires, genuine love and acceptance for who you are, and love and acceptance of others.

This new identity is not only accurate, it is essential for you to accept and take hold of.

And that is a promise.

Loving Father, I accept myself today as a new creation in Christ.
