Emotional Healing Too

Emotional Healing Too

“Surely he…carries our sorrows.” (Isaiah 53:4)

Sometimes it’s easier to receive physical healing than emotional healing, because it is easier to be honest with physical pain than with emotional pain

If you have been denying your emotional pain, or have been living in denial, you need to know that denying your emotions denies you an opportunity to encounter Christ.

Jesus was the most emotionally healthy person who ever lived. The more emotionally healthy you become, the more opportunity you have to encounter Christ.

The key to your emotional health is allowing Christ into your emotional pain. Jesus was called, “a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief” (Isaiah 53:3.) Jesus also bled from seven parts of his body, and every wound in you is connected with a wound in him.

You will never experience an emotion that is unfamiliar to Jesus. Specifically, Jesus carried your sorrows, and he does not want you to carry them alone any longer.

Loving Father, I receive this revelation. I renounce my emotional denial, I embrace the sanctity of my emotions, and I receive union with Christ in my emotional life today. Amen.
