Let Jesus Take Your Infirmities

Let Jesus Take Your Infirmities

“Surely he took up our infirmities.” (Isaiah 53:4 NIV84)

Most Christians are well aware that Jesus took up their sins when he was brutally executed on the cross. Most Christians, however, are not aware that he also took up their physical infirmities.

Perhaps you have thought that when Isaiah prophesied, he took up our infirmities, he was referring to spiritual infirmities, but that is incorrect. Matthew makes it very clear that Isaiah was referring to physical infirmities and physical healing. Immediately following Jesus healing Peter’s mother-in-law, and then healing a host of others, Matthew writes, “this was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah: ‘He took our illnesses and bore our diseases’” (Matthew 8:17.)

Since Jesus took up your physical infirmities, he wants you to voluntarily give them to him today.

Loving Father, I declare that when Jesus went to the cross, he took up my physical infirmities. In the name of Jesus, I receive your healing.
