Kingdom Of Greatest Value

Kingdom of Greatest Value

“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant in search of fine pearls, who, on finding one pearl of great value, went and sold all that he had and bought it.” Matthew 13:45-46

The kingdom of God is either worth everything to you, or it is worth nothing. Until you come to recognize the kingdom of God as the greatest of all treasures, you will never take hold of it.

Jesus went to great lengths to describe the kingdom of God so that people could understand it. Of the thirty-plus parables Jesus told, most parables were introduced by the words, “the kingdom of God is like…” He told everyday stories to describe the kingdom in order to show that the kingdom of God is an everyday reality. Though everyday, the kingdom is certainly not common.

You and I value many things in life, but among all the things we value, God wants us to value his kingdom above all. If you have never before recognized the kingdom of Christ as the most valuable treasure in life, today is your day.

Loving Father, I repent of valuing other things in life as greater treasures than the reality of your rule and reign in my life. Today I choose your kingdom as my greatest treasure in Jesus’ name.
