No Shame In Waiting

No Shame In Waiting

“Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame.” Psalm 25:3

Disappointments with God is one of the greatest hindrances to your prayer life. You prayed earnestly, but they died anyway. You begged God, but the divorce went through. You pleaded with God, and you still suffered a miscarriage.

Disappointment with God leaves you feeling ripped off, cheated, and angry. Past disappointment with God leaves you not expecting anything from God today.

Unfortunately, disappointment with God is usually the result of unfair expectations— you were told that God would do whatever you asked, but he didn’t, and you don’t know what to do with unanswered prayers. This is a world of difference between hoping in God, and hoping in your prayers.

When you hope in the Lord, you rest in the confidence that God knows what’s best and always does what’s best.

Indeed, none who wait for you shall be put to shame.

Loving Father, I confess to you my disappointment with God over unanswered prayers. Forgive me for my ungratefulness. I put my hope in you today, knowing that you will yet write the end of the story and it will be good.
