“No temptation has overtaken you that is not common to man. God is faithful, and he will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation he will also provide the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.” 1 Corinthians 10:13
One of the greatest temptations you face is the temptation to believe you cannot resist temptation. That is a boldface lie.
God promises you to empower you beyond your ability and to find the way of escape, that you may be able to endure. God wants you to win the fight against temptation, and he always gives you the ability to escape.
The way of escape is a promise from God for you to apply to one area of habitual sin right now. Be honest now. What habitual sin has been defeating you lately? Use this verse to kick that sin to the curb.
Loving Father, I take firm hold of this Bible promise. Jesus, you are the way of escape and I take your resurrection power now. Lead me out of temptation in Jesus’ name. Amen.
