No Waiting

No Waiting

“And in the last days it shall be, God declares, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh.” Acts 2:17a

Some Bible promises require you to wait to receive, but not this one.

When the prophet Joel first gave this promise, people had to wait 800 years until it was fulfilled. Some Bible promises are like that. God’s people had to wait all that time, but you do not need to wait any longer.

When Peter proclaimed this promise on the Day of Pentecost 2000 years ago, he added the words in the last days it shall be, God declares. The last days started on that day and they will continue until Jesus returns. This means that you do not need to wait any longer to receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit on you and your people. You can claim this promise today.

Father God, thank you that these are the last days. Thank you that today you are pouring out your Holy Spirit on all flesh. I claim this promise for myself and my family today. Pour out your Holy Spirit on me and on my people now in Jesus’ name.
