Love Stronger Than Success Or Failure
“For I am sure that neither…nor height nor depth…will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
Fears come in all shapes and sizes— you can fear failure and you can also fear success. The fear of success is called the fear of heights, and it is more common than you may think. The fear of failure is virtually universal. Athletes, pastors, business leaders, parents, and students face these fears continually.
Height refers to success.
Depth refers to failure.
Today God wants to conquer, once and for all, both your fear of failure and your fear of success. The way to conquer both fears is to know your true identity— that you are his forever child. He will love you the same regardless of the outcome.
Loving Father, right now I receive my identity in Christ as a beloved child of God. Nothing can separate me from your love regardless of whether I win or lose. Today I break off my fear of failure and my fear of success in Jesus’ name.
