King of Glory

King of Glory

“Lift up your heads, O gates! And be lifted up, O ancient doors, that the King of glory may come in.” Psalm 24:7

Glory is the name used to describe the sum total of God’s attributes. Glory is also the name used to describe God’s manifesting presence.

King of glory indicates that Christ has the authority over the sum total of his attributes and over his manifest presence.

Glory is one of God’s attributes that is both communicable and non-communicable— that is to say, part of God’s glory is given to us, and part of God’s glory is reserved only for himself. In either case, you and I have authority to call out to the gates of influence in our culture in order to remove any obstacles to the manifesting presence God’s glory among us.

It is time to exercise our God-given authority.

Father God, I cry out to you now in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ—King of glory come in. Come into my life, my family. (Continue to welcome the manifest presence of the King of glory in the various spheres of your life.)
