Not to Us

Not to Us

Not to us, oh Lord, not to us, but to Your Name give glory. Psalm 115:1

There is no limit to what God can do through us as long as we give Him all the glory.

God does not enjoy sharing His glory with anyone. This does not call us to false humility; this is calling us to an accurate view of reality.

The fact of the matter is, apart from Christ we can do nothing (John 15:5).

The apostle Paul declared, “I know that nothing good dwells in me, that is, in my flesh” (Romans 7:18). Do you know this for certain—that nothing good dwells in you, either? Be warned: If you have not settled this matter before God, there is a limit to how much God can use you. Just as Jesus said that He would not cast pearls before swine, neither does God share His glory with another.

If you intend to live your life in the manifest presence of Christ, you need to settle this matter today—never touch God’s glory! At the end of every day, make sure you return praise to Christ for all the deposits He has made in you and all the work He has accomplished both in and through you.

Father God, I come in repentance and declare with the psalmist, “Not to us, oh Lord, not to us, but to You be the glory.” For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.

Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world country and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Liechtenstein and Kansas.

This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
