Repent from Irreverence
Repent from Irreverence
Blessed is the one You choose and bring near to dwell in Your courts. Psalm 65:4
When you set your heart to encounter the manifest presence of Christ every day, one of the subtle sins that God will deal with early in your journey is the sin of irreverence, or treating as common the holy things of God. Particularly for children born to Christian parents, or children born to career Christian workers, it is easy to become casual with the holy things of God. This is the essence of irreverence.
Allow the Holy Spirit time to search your heart today. Do you highly value the manifest presence of Christ, or have you subtly allowed the sin of irreverence to steal your humble gratitude? Take time now to repent of irreverence, entitlement, ingratitude and spiritual pride.
If you have been chosen to draw near to God’s manifest presence and dwell in His courts, then you are, of all people, most blessed. God wants you to feel profound gratitude for this blessing.
Father God, I fall on my face before You in humble gratitude that You have indeed chosen me to dwell in Your manifest presence. I glory in Your goodness to me.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world country and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Liechtenstein and South Dakota.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
