Our Christ-Encountering Helmet

Our Christ-Encountering Helmet

…and take the helmet of salvation. Ephesians 6:17

God not only wants you to be saved, He wants you to know with absolute certainty that when you die you will live with Him forever. The helmet of salvation could be called the helmet of the assurance of salvation.

The book of Ephesians was obviously written to Christians, and yet, the Apostle Paul exhorts the believers to take the helmet of salvation as a weapon against the enemy. There are few things that the enemy contests for more vehemently than trying to steal the assurance of our salvation. For this reason, when you put on the helmet of salvation today, be sure to encounter Christ in the process.

The enemy knows that if he can steal from you the assurance of salvation, he already has major leverage against you. On the other hand, if you can maintain the assurance of our salvation, you have a major position of leverage against him.

Never stop praising Christ for the assurance of your salvation and never lose your grip on the helmet of salvation.

Father God, in humble gratitude I firmly put on today the helmet of your salvation. Christ is my Savior; of that, I am confident.
