Our Christ-Encountering Breastplate
Our Christ-Encountering Breastplate
Stand, therefore, …having put on the breastplate of righteousness. Ephesians 6:14
As you put on the breastplate of righteousness today, be sure you encounter Christ in the process. Any good habit and spiritual discipline can become a hollow religious ritual if you are not careful. When you put on the full armor of God today, you want to be careful to recognize that your own righteousness is like filthy rags; your only hope of coming into the presence of God is to come fully clothed in the righteousness that comes from Christ alone.
Make no mistake about it. None is righteous, no, not one (Romans 3:10). For this reason, Christ has become for us our righteousness and sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 30).
Take time right now to thoughtfully put on the full armor of God. As you put on the breastplate, remember—you are encountering the altogether righteous Christ.
Lord Jesus Christ, I humble myself as I put on the full armor of God. I take you alone to be my righteousness and my breastplate.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world country and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Liechtenstein and Nevada.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
