Just Stand There
Just Stand There
You will not need to fight in this battle. Stand firm, hold your position, and see the salvation of the Lord on your behalf. 2 Chronicles 20:17
We have all heard the statement, “Don’t just stand there, do something”. Often, however, God says, “Don’t just do something, stand there”. Face it, God’s kingdom is often counter intuitive.
When King Jehoshaphat was surrounded by hostile armies marching against Israel, every instinct in the king’s body wanted to grab weapons and fight, but God had a better idea. King Jehoshaphat needed to understand the difference between his assignment and God’s assignment.
Today, as you face battle lines, make sure you understand what is your responsibility and what is God’s. You certainly don’t want to try to do God’s job for Him. Your job may be to just stand there.
Loving Father, today I take my position in Christ. I stand firm with wide-eyed wonder and look for Your mighty hand of salvation at work in the battle lines of my life.
Please PRAY!
We are asking God for the remaining world countries and U.S.A. states to receive the training of the College of Prayer. Pray with us today for Liechtenstein and South Dakota.
This daily Christ-encountering, fire-starter is not intended to replace your daily Bible reading and prayer time, but rather to motivate you to spend extended time in His presence.
